Ryland’s CEO got $14.3 million

Home builder Ryland Group Inc. paid Chief Executive Chad Dreier $14.3 million in 2007, a year in which the value of the company’s stock dropped 50%.
That was less than half the $31.4 million the CEO received in 2006. Dreier received a salary of $1 million, a stock grant of $1.98 million, a pension benefit of $4.1 million and other pay worth $5 million, the Calabasas-based company said.
