Sony Pictures Entertainment has tapped Bob Osher to head its digital production division, which oversees the studio’s animation business and visual effects company Imageworks.
Osher, who has been a chief operating officer at Columbia Pictures Motion Picture Group, succeeds Yair Landau, who announced this week that he was leaving to launch a games and animation venture.
Hannah Minghella, a creative affairs executive at Sony Pictures, will head production for Sony Pictures Animation, which produced the 2007 film “Surf’s Up.”
