Final Four

So here’s your Final Four in a net-shell: North Carolina vs. Kansas in one national semifinal and Texas vs. UCLA in the other.

North Carolina is coached by Roy Williams, who once coached at Kansas, where his career was a long, tear-stained letter. Look for CBS to replace Billy Packer as analyst and bring in a real one -- with a degree in psychology.

Williams couldn’t win a national title until he left Kansas for North Carolina, where he won it all in 2005.

Kansas is still good, but North Carolina has Tyler Hansbrough, who didn’t crack ESPN’s top 25 of all-time great collegiate players but might be an add-on candidate after he floor-burn hustles his Tar Heels past Kansas to this year’s national title game.

There, North Carolina meets UCLA, which advances by throwing a rope around Texas by using defensive ace Russell Westbrook to slow down D.J. Augustin.

Some year, Ben Howland will push UCLA to title No. 12, but this year North Carolina finally gets NCAA title-game revenge for that 23-point loss in 1968 to UCLA at the Los Angeles Sports Arena.
