1 killed, 1 hurt in drive-by shooting
One man was killed and another injured late Saturday when their car was fired upon by someone in another vehicle at a Rosemead intersection, authorities said.
Jimmy Tran, 18, of El Monte was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles County coroner’s Lt. Cheryl MacWillie. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
The other victim was taken to a hospital and later released, said Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Hernandez.
The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. at Charlotte Avenue and Park Street. No information on the shooter was released.
