Downbeat on L.A.’s downtown

It seems as if those who wrote letters (March 23) about living in downtown Los Angeles certainly have a vested interest -- Wilshire Realty, Downtown Real Estate Assn., et al. (“A cooldown in downtown housing,” March 13.)

They want to keep the myth going that downtown is the place to live. Wrong.

Not until the city has cleaned the streets of drug pushers, hookers, etc., will living downtown be “cool.”

Downtown L.A. is already overbuilt and overpriced.
