Designers Mitch Moseley and David Hershberger prove the old cliche is true: If you have a job you love, you’ll never work a day in your life. Their passion is the 3-year-old Endovanera line of tailored menswear, which looks as cool at a Parisian boulangerie as it does on West 3rd Street.

The designers recently enlisted the help of friends to transform a dire-looking Echo Park space into the new home for their studio and first retail store. Fans looking for a unique twist on an Endovanera trademark jacket can choose a style from the brand’s archives and create a bespoke version from a wall of fabric swatches ($600-$2,000). Custom denim starts at $350.

Technically, the line is for men (a dedicated women’s line launches Spring 2009). But the label’s recent runway show proved Endovanera’s androgynous styles work on women as-is. “It’s an overall look,” Moseley says. “It works on everyone.”
