McCain aide to quit -- he likes Obama
Mark McKinnon, a media strategist for presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain, said he was leaving because it seemed virtually certain that Barack Obama would be the Democrats’ nominee.
When the Texas-based McKinnon signed on with McCain, he sent a memo to the campaign saying he would not oversee media strategy if Obama was McCain’s opponent.
He told Cox News Service last June that electing Obama “would send a great message to the country and the world” and he would not work against him.
