‘Kath & Kim’ gets picked up
City News Service
NBC has given the first-season comedy “Kath & Kim” a full-season order, thanks to its success in retaining young adult viewers.
Through four episodes, “Kath & Kim” is averaging 100% retention of the viewers ages 18 to 49 from “My Name Is Earl,” which precedes it.
Overall, the comedy, which stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as a dysfunctional mother-daughter duo, is averaging only 6 million viewers, but NBC is more concerned with key demographic groups.
