vs. Houston, 7:30, FS WEST
Site -- Staples Center.
Radio -- 710.
Records -- Clippers 0-5, Rockets 3-2.
Record vs. Rockets (last season) -- 0-3.
Update -- Another unpleasant stat for Clippers fans to consider: They’ve lost their opening five games by an average of nearly 21 points. The 10-point loss to the Nuggets in overtime was their smallest margin of defeat. The Clippers had arctic-like spells of 0-22 runs (vs. Lakers), 0-17 (at Utah) and 0-18 (Lakers again). “We’ve lost five games. We’ve probably lost five different ways,” the Clippers’ Marcus Camby said. “Having a lead, not playing well and getting blown out. Playing well into the fourth. We’ve lost a lot of different ways . . . we have to find a way to put together two solid halves.” For Houston, this is the second game of a five-game trip. The Rockets had one of the league’s best road records last season, going 24-17.
