at Indiana 107, Chicago 105: T.J. Ford made the go-ahead jump shot with 3.9 seconds left, and the Pacers tightened the race for the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. Indiana won for the fourth time in five games and is 3 1/2 games behind Chicago with seven games left. Chicago had a chance to tie or win, but Ben Gordon missed a three-point try in the closing seconds.
Oklahoma City 96, at San Antonio 95: Kevin Durant scored 31 points, Russell Westbrook had 16 points and 10 assists and the Thunder beat the Spurs for the second time in March. With eight games left, the Spurs lost their slim lead in the Southwest Division and fell into a first-place tie with Houston.
at Denver 111, New York 104: Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points and the Nuggets clinched a playoff spot after blowing most of a 27-point, second-quarter lead. The Nuggets’ win, coupled with San Antonio’s loss, moved Denver into the No. 2 spot in the Western Conference.
Dallas 108, at Minnesota 88: Josh Howard had 14 points and six rebounds in 22 minutes in his return from an 11-game absence and Dirk Nowitzki had 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Mavericks. The Timberwolves’ Kevin Love matched Nowitzki with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the rookie’s 25th double-double.
at Portland 125, Utah 104: The Trail Blazers stayed hot in winning their third in a row. Portland shot 65% from the field through three quarters and made 10 of 18 three-point tries.
New Orleans 111, at Sacramento 110: David West had 40 points and nine rebounds and Rasual Butler made a three-pointer as time expired for the Hornets on a night when the Kings retired Vlade Divac’s No. 21 jersey.
at Philadelphia 98, Atlanta 85: Andre Miller had 18 points and 10 assists and the 76ers overcame a season-high 33 points from Josh Smith to beat the Hawks.
at Charlotte 94, Lakers 84: Lakers got 11 points from their reserves, six from Luke Walton.
