Unified Grocers in Commerce is recalling some Mariegold Baking bread because it might contain undeclared milk and soy, which could cause a severe or life-threatening reaction in people allergic to those ingredients. The loaves of white and wheat bread with tags dated before April 9 were distributed by Unified Grocers and other distributors to independent grocery stores in Southern California, Nevada and Arizona.
Consumers should return the bread to where it was purchased for a refund. Information: (323) 264-5200.
* About 45,000 clothing irons, made in China and distributed by Conair Corp. of Stamford, Conn., are being recalled because they can overheat and create a fire hazard. The recall involves Conair clothing irons with model Nos. DPP1500, DPP1500R and DPP3500.
They were sold at department and other retail stores nationwide from October through this month.
