at Cal State Fullerton 58, UC Riverside 52: Josh Akognon was held to 15 points on five-for-21 shooting, but Jacques Streeter had 17 points to lead the Titans (11-10, 5-4 Big West) to their third consecutive victory. UC Riverside fell to 11-9, 3-5.

Cal State Northridge 79, at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 68: Senior guard Josh Jenkins scored 18 points, leading a quartet of double-digit scorers, and also had seven assists as the Matadors (9-10, 6-3 Big West) defeated the Mustangs (5-13, 2-6).

Long Beach State 67, at UC Irvine 63: Stephan Gilling made three free throws in the final 13.4 seconds to help the 49ers (11-9, 6-2 Big West) hold off the Anteaters (7-14, 4-4). Long Beach, which had a 58-47 lead with 5:01 to play, was led by T.J. Robinson with 20 points.

at Santa Clara 64, Pepperdine 52: The Waves (5-18, 2-5 West Coast Conference) had no answer for 6-foot-11, 275-pound John Bryant, who had 19 points and 17 rebounds for the Broncos (11-3, 3-4).

at San Francisco 73, Loyola Marymount 53: Dior Lowhorn scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds for the Dons (9-13, 1-6 WCC) as the Lions fell to 1-22, 0-7.

WOMEN

at No. 7 California 73, USC 71: Devanei Hampton scored on a layup with 2.2 seconds left to give the Golden Bears (18-2, 9-0 Pac-10) to their 10th consecutive victory. USC is 11-9, 5-4.
