Ducks play host to the Buffalo Sabres
VS. BUFFALO
Time: 7.
On the air: TV: Prime. Radio: 830.
Where: Honda Center.
Records: Ducks 25-22-5. Sabres 26-19-5.
Record vs. Sabres (2007-2008): 1-0.
Update: This game features the league’s best power play scorers, the Ducks’ Teemu Selanne and the Sabres’ Thomas Vanek, who each have 13 man-advantage goals. But in the two games since he has returned from a six-week absence (lacerated quadriceps), Selanne has barely gotten onto the ice for the power play. He did manage to score the game-winner against Colorado, teaming up with Bobby Ryan for a rare shift. George Parros celebrated his three-year contract extension with a rare goal, his fourth of the season, against Colorado. The Ducks’ 4-1 win over Buffalo in their only meeting last season was their first over the Sabres since Jan. 1, 1999.
