A driver believed to be responsible for the hit-and-run death of an 11-month-old girl near downtown Los Angeles has been arrested, authorities said Monday.

About 6 p.m. Sunday, the driver of a Honda ran over a stroller carrying the girl and her 5-year-old sister at Olympic Boulevard and Bonnie Brae Street and fled the scene, said Officer Sam Park of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Henry Yovanni Moreno, 30, of South Gate was arrested in connection with the hit-and-run about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
