Hornets’ Chris Paul is injured in loss to Trail Blazers

Portland 97, at New Orleans 89: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 22 points for the Trail Blazers, who wiped out a 17-point deficit after Hornets guard Chris Paul was injured and went on to their fifth straight victory. Paul left the game late in the third quarter because of a strained right groin, the first action he has missed all season. He had 12 points and 13 assists. The Hornets led, 72-55, when Paul left the game. Portland then outscored New Orleans, 26-7, during the next seven minutes.

San Antonio 110, at Golden State 105 (OT): Tim Duncan scored five of his season-high 32 points in overtime and the Spurs overcame a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Warriors. Manu Ginobili also had a season-high 32 points for San Antonio, which won its fourth in a row, ninth in 10 games and third straight on the road.

at Utah 105, Charlotte 86: Ronnie Brewer scored 14 of his 21 points in the second half and the injury-riddled Jazz rallied to beat the Bobcats without Deron Williams, who sat out the game because of a bruise above his right knee, joining forwards Andrei Kirilenko (ankle) and Carlos Boozer (knee) on Utah’s inactive list.

at Phoenix 129, Sacramento 81: Amare Stoudemire scored 25 points, Jason Richardson had 24 and the rejuvenated Suns ended a three-game home losing streak with their most lopsided victory of the season.

Memphis 113, at Washington 97: Rookie O.J. Mayo matched his career high with 33 points as the Grizzlies ended a 12-game losing streak with their first win in nearly a month.

Lakers 126, at New York 117: Kobe Bryant’s 61 points, a Madison Square Garden record, carried the Lakers.

at Miami 119, Clippers 95: Zach Randolph returned for the Clippers after missing 19 games and scored 21 points, but L.A. fell to 10-38.
