Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. will report first-quarter results Friday, six days after the company’s annual meeting, in a change from the last three years.
The annual meeting will take place today in Omaha, where Berkshire is based.
The company said the date conformed with regulations requiring that results be released within 40 days of the end of a quarter and continued the company tradition of announcing the data on a Friday.
Berkshire has posted five straight profit declines on deteriorating results at insurance units and liabilities from derivative bets on world stock markets.
