Give credit where credit is due
Re “Grace and Pain in ‘Alzheimer’s,’ ” May 8: Mary McNamara’s perceptive and well-written review of HBO’s “The Alzheimer’s Project” -- “a spine-straightening revelation” -- declares it was made “by the same team that produced HBO’s ‘Addiction” project.”
Who is the team?! Are readers expected to remember past documentary series credits and think, “Oh, yeah . . . Mary Smith . . . another great script for HBO!”
To praise documentarians’ skills but deny them credit is hard to understand. What would McNamara’s reaction be if her columns were complimented but uncredited?
