AT WASHINGTON

When: 4 p.m. PDT.

Where: Verizon Center.

On the air: WNBA.com.

Records: Sparks 3-8, Mystics 7-4.

Record vs. Mystics: 1-0.

Update: With Candace Parker out for the season because of a dislocated left shoulder, first-year Sparks Coach Jennifer Gillom said she’s going to use the team’s two-game trip as an “evaluation period” to determine whether signing free agents is necessary. “If after the road trip we feel like we need a change, we’ll do that,” Gillom said. In their first game without Parker — a 78-75 loss to the Connecticut Sun on Friday — three players scored in double digits, including Tina Thompson (24), Marie Ferdinand-Harris (16) and Noelle Quinn (11). The Mystics are led by Monique Currie, who is averaging 16.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
