Dirk Nowitzki scores 36 to lead Mavericks to seventh straight win
at Dallas 108, New Orleans 100: Dirk Nowitzki had 36 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, and the Mavericks won their seventh straight. Darren Collison scored 35 for the Hornets, who cut a 25-point deficit to four in the second half.
at San Antonio 113, Phoenix 110: Richard Jefferson scored 20 points in his best game since losing his starting job, and the Spurs ended the Suns’ winning streak at five games. Amare Stoudemire had a season-high 41 points for Phoenix.
at Atlanta 106, Milwaukee 102 (OT): Joe Johnson scored nine of his 24 points in overtime, and Josh Smith had 22 points and 15 rebounds to help the Hawks end the Bucks’ winning streak at six. Milwaukee lost for the first time since trading for John Salmons, who finished with a season-high 32 points.
at Orlando 96, Miami 80: Rashard Lewis had 22 points, and the Magic overcame a sub-par game by Dwight Howard, whose streak of double-doubles ended at 20 games when foul trouble limited him to 24 minutes, seven points and five rebounds. Dwyane Wade, back in Miami’s lineup after missing four games because of a strained calf, had 21 points.
Washington 89, at New Jersey 85: Andray Blatche scored a career-high 36 points and had 15 rebounds for the Wizards, who denied the Nets (6-53) their first winning streak of the season.
at Oklahoma City 119, Toronto 99: Kevin Durant scored 29 points, and the Thunder handed the Raptors their third straight loss without All-Star forward Chris Bosh, who has a sprained left ankle.
