This is the first time the Clippers have played a team with a worse record since, well, the last time they faced the Kings, on Feb. 28. That was the fifth game of the Kim Hughes era. Hughes, the Clippers’ interim coach, earlier talked about the situation facing him and the players, basically telling them, in so many words: Deal with it. “It’s not just the new parts,” he said. “There’s so much uncertainty for three-quarters of the players on this team. And it’s tough. I understand it. I went through a free-agent year. It is tough. You don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know what’s going to happen to me either. Do you want me to act like you guys are acting?”
