Update: The Kings, 4-4-1 since the Olympic break, extended their penalty killing streak to 24 over eight games by killing four disadvantages against the New York Islanders in a 1-0 victory Saturday. The team record for consecutive penalties killed is 46, set in the 2001-02 season. Their penalty killing has an 81.7% success rate, still in the second half of the league. Jonathan Quick’s 26-save shutout Saturday was his fourth this season — all at home — and equaled his total for last season.
