Los Angeles Auto Show More than a dozen cars will make their world debut at this year’s L.A. Auto Show, including never-before-seen concept cars from Cadillac, Honda, Nissan and Range Rover, many of them electric or hybrids. The city best known for its inescapable auto culture will also host the North American premiere of quite a few more in the course of the show’s unbroken 10-day run (Thanksgiving included). L.A. Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa St., L.A. Today-Nov. 28. Hours vary. $12. https://www.laautoshow.com.

Downtown on Ice Just because you live in L.A. doesn’t mean you can’t conjure up an East Coast-style winter wonderland for yourself. Come downtown to Pershing Square for a spin around the ice rink, and, if you squint, it’ll be just like Rockefeller Center. Well, almost. Pershing Square Park, 532 S. Olive St., L.A. Today-Jan. 18. Mon.-Thurs., noon-10 p.m., Fri-Sun, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. One-hour sessions: $6; skate rental: $2. (213) 847-4970, https://www.laparks.org.

Holiday in the Park When you recall warm, familial images of Christmastime, scenes of beautiful downtown Burbank come to mind easily. Well, OK, maybe not, but at Holiday in the Park, the corporate capital of entertainment in L.A. transforms Magnolia Park into its best approximation of a winter wonderland, with open houses from nearby shops and restaurants and a bevy of family entertainment. Magnolia Park, 275 E. Olive Ave., Burbank. https://www.magnoliaparkburbank.org.
