James P. Giraldin, president and COO of First Federal Bank of California has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of America’s Community Bankers. Edmunds promoted Scott Oldham to editor in chief of its Inside Line site. IA Interior Architects reported Timothy Gajewski and Christopher Lindes have joined the firm as design director and project manager, respectively.
Phoenix Motorcars appointed Daniel J. Elliott as CEO. Bid4Spots hired Rockie Thomas. Randy Haney joined Greystone Commerical Services.

James P. Giraldin, president, chief operating officer and board member of First Federal Bank of California, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Santa Monica-based FirstFed Financial Corp. (NYSE: FED) and the third largest Los Angeles-based financial institution, has been elected to a three-year term on the board of directors of America’s Community Bankers, the national trade group for community banks.

Inside Line, Santa Monica-based Edmunds’ high-speed online car site, today announced that Scott Oldham has been promoted to its editor in chief. Scott was hired two years ago as the publication’s senior editor and was promoted to executive editor shortly thereafter. Oldham succeeds Richard Homan, who left the position to relocate to the East Coast.

Los Angeles-based IA Interior Architects announced today Timothy Gajewski, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP, and Christopher Lindes have joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as design director and project manager, respectively.
As design director, Gajewski is helping establish design direction for clients’ projects and overseeing implementation of a consistent image, character and aesthetic quality. He directs all aspects of the design, from initial concept to finish details. Prior to joining IA, he held positions with Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum and Greenwell Goetz Architects.
Lindes joins IA from Klawiter and Associates in Los Angeles. Lindes’ responsibilities as project manager include overall project coordination and management of the creative process. He will ensure that coordination and communication between IA project teams and their clients is effective and timely.

Phoenix Motorcars announced today that it has appointed Daniel J. Elliott as its new chief executive officer, effective immediately. Elliott was previously with Boshart Engineering and Roush Industries. Ojai-based Phoenix also said the company would relocate its offices to Ontario. Phoenix develops electric vehicles.

Bid4Spots, a reverse auction for radio ad inventory, today announced the appointment of Rockie Thomas as business development manager, to oversee the launch of the company’s new Internet radio division. Thomas most recently served as director of sales and marketing for Spacial Audio Solutions, a supplier of Internet radio software and services to independent broadcasters.

Dallas-based Greystone Commerical Services LP announced that Randy Haney has joined the company as a business development officer. Haney, who will be based in Pasadena, will be responsible for new business development in California and the Western United States.
