Good news, everyone! Billy West, the voice of Professor Farnsworth, Philip J. Fry, Dr. Zoidberg and others on the animated series “Futurama,” has sold his longtime home in Hollywood Hills West for $1.18 million.
That’s quite a windfall for West, who bought the property in 1998 for $480,000, public records show.
The classic and character-filled home, built in 1926 in Spanish Revival style, has arched doors and windows, wrought iron fixtures and mahogany woodwork throughout. Artful tile risers provide a colorful trail up and down the stairs.
Formal living and dining rooms, an eat-in kitchen, an office/den, four bedrooms and three bathrooms lie within the 2,446 square feet of interiors. An elevator services each level of the home.
A covered patio, fruit trees and a small pond make up the grounds. Extending off the front of the home, a wide balcony takes in views of Hollywood Hills and Universal City.
Thomas Flanagan of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent.
West, a prolific voice actor, has provided vocals for more than 100 animated characters. Among the 63-year-old’s credits are the television cartoons “Doug,” “The Ren & Stimpy Show,” “The Powerpuff Girls” and “The Looney Tunes.”
