Artist Donald Robertson lists reimagined Montecito home for $5.85 million
Donald Robertson, the pop artist better known by his Instagram handle Drawbertson, has put his home in Montecito on the market for $5.85 million.
Sitting on more than an acre near Miramar Beach, the gated property opens to a tree-topped driveway and ends at a circular motor court at the front of the 1920s home.
The Spanish Hedgerow estate incorporates splashes of bold color, vibrant wallpaper and tile work for an update on the classic style. The home was reimagined by designer Paul Fortune for contemporary family living.
The roughly 4,400 square feet of living space includes formal living and dining rooms, a modern kitchen, a den, four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There’s also a separate art studio with 20-foot-tall ceilings.
Outside, a covered patio opens to a fenced swimming pool area. Tiled fountains, lawns, formal landscaping and various sitting areas fill out the grounds.
Philippa Davis of Compass and Rochelle Atlas Maize of Nourmand & Associates hold the listing.
Robertson, 54, gained fame for his couture-inspired artwork that draws heavily from pop culture. He currently works as a creative director at Estee Lauder.
He bought the house two years ago for $2.995 million, public records show.
