Les Moonves, Julie Chen sold their Malibu home for $11.125 million
The price that Les Moonves, chairman and chief executive of CBS Corp., and his wife, TV personality Julie Chen, received for their La Costa Beach home when it sold in July has made its way into the real estate records.
The sales price was $11.125 million. They had asked $12.995 million initially and then dropped the price to $11.995 million.
Among features in the 3,014 square feet of space are teak floors, a den/media room with a drop-down screen, living room and master bedroom fireplaces, two guest bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The updated kitchen in the renovated 1957 house has stainless steel appliances and an island.
The rooms open to an ocean-view patio. The entry courtyard contains a spa.
Moonves, 64, married Chen, 44, a decade ago. Chen has been a news anchor and appears on “The Talk.” She has been the host of “Big Brother” since the show began in 2000.
The couple purchased the property in 2008 for $10 million, public records show. They bought billionaire and Microsoft Corp. co-founder Paul Allen’s place on Carbon Beach this spring for $28.8 million. That house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 6,500 square feet of living space.
Tracy Lynn Testin of Prudential Malibu Realty was their listing agent for the La Costa Beach property. Mitchell Bravo of Keller Williams represented the buyer.
