Nicole Richie, Joel Madden buy home in Beverly Crest
Fashion designer Nicole Richie and musician Joel Madden have bought a home in the Beverly Crest area for $6.7 million.
They made the deal outside the Multiple Listing Service, but public records confirm their purchase and ownership as reported by Variety.
Set on a half-acre behind ivy-covered walls and tall hedges, the contemporary home was built in 1957 and contains four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and 5,515 square feet of living space, according to tax records. There’s a two-car attached garage and a swimming pool.
Richie, 33, gained fame as a television personality for her time on the series “The Simple Life” (2003-07). She appears in and produces the current series “Candidly Nicole.”
Madden, 36, is a singer with Good Charlotte and the Madden Brothers.
The property, which was once owned by actor Jack Nicholson, sold in 1999 for $1.75 million. Nicholson sold the house in 1991 for $1.925 million.
