Inside Patrice Evra’s $14-million holiday rental in Beverly Hills
As his transfer from Manchester United to Juventus F.C. was completed, professional soccer player Patrice Evra spent a summer holiday in Los Angeles, where he leased a $14-million compound in the Beverly Hills Post Office area.
A member of France’s World Cup team, the full-back paid an estimated $125,000 for an extended stay at the fully furnished contemporary dubbed “The Fortress.” Built in 2009, the 8,500-square-foot residence has three levels plus a 3,500-square-foot rooftop deck with a pool, an outdoor fireplace, a wet bar and 280-degree ocean and city views.
Sited on more than a quarter of an acre, 14-foot walls of glass frame the landscaped grounds and water features illuminated by custom lighting. A floating staircase framed in glass and steel and a 40-foot interior waterfall run through the heart of the home.
Other features include a 500-bottle wine cellar, a movie room with stadium seating and a 2,400-square-foot master retreat complete with a fireplace, a soaking tub and a steam shower. Other spaces include large formal rooms, a chef’s kitchen, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Evra, 33, spent more than eight years with Manchester United, winning five Premier League titles. Despite inking a one-year extension with United earlier this year, he facilitated a transfer to Juventus, who will pay him nearly $90,000 a week for the next two years.
The Beverly Hills residence currently shows a status of pending, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Ben Bacal of Rodeo Realty Beverly Hills is the listing agent.
