Affordability is among the biggest roadblocks facing home buyers, especially in California’s larger metros, where home prices continue to rise as inventory shrinks. In Greater Los Angeles, the average price of a two- to four-bedroom house is $915,000, according to a survey by the real estate website Redfin.
