What about $700,000 buys in Dana Point, Fountain Valley and Tustin

Orange County, among the most expensive areas for single-family homes in the Southland, saw its median sale price rise to $710,000 in August, up 4.4% from the same month the previous year, according to CoreLogic. In Dana Point, roughly that amount buys a cottage; in Fountain Valley, a four-bedroom rancher; and in Tustin, an updated four-bedroom with a swimming pool.

Here’s a deeper dive into what the median buys in each of the three areas.

TUSTIN

Offered for the first time in four decades, this three-bedroom in North Tustin features tongue-and-groove ceilings, stained-glass windows and a rock-wall fireplace.
