Jackie Chan’s onetime 90210 address tops L.A.’s priciest sales
Beverly Hills, Malibu and Pacific Palisades properties topped the most expensive residential real estate sales in the greater Los Angeles area last week.
$10.875 million — Beverly Hills
In the 1700 block of Green Acres Drive, a 7,638-square-foot home once owned by martial artist and film actor Jackie Chan sold for 40% more than its price in 2013.
Built in French Villa style in 1986, the house was bought by Chan in 1998 for $3 million and sold nearly a decade later for $6.3 million.
Marked by a circular motor court with a fountain, the gated estate features a two-story entry, a gourmet kitchen with a rotunda nook, six bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Grounds of about three-quarters of an acre contain a cabana with a built-in barbecue, an outdoor dining area and a swimming pool with a spa and a waterfall feature.
Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage was the listing agent. Robert Hovsepian of Re/Max Optima represented the buyer.
$7.25 million — Beverly Hills
A gated Mediterranean-style home in the 1500 block of Tower Grove Drive that sold in late May for $6.25 million sold again for $1 million over the previous sale price.
Set on about half an acre, the home features living and dining rooms with sliding glass walls, an office and a detached studio with a full bathroom. The master suite has his-and-hers bathrooms for a total of four bedrooms and six bathrooms in 5,800 square feet of space.
Josh Flagg of Rodeo Realty handled both ends of the transaction.
$6.158 million — Pacific Palisades
In the Huntington Palisades area, a farmhouse-inspired Traditional built in 2005 sold for less than the October list price of $6.499 million.
In the 700 block of Ocampo Drive, the two-story home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 6,973 square feet of living space. Wide-plank wood floors, beamed ceilings and an entertainment level with a media room and a gym are among the interior details.
Amy Hollingsworth and Jamie Leff of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage were the listing agents. Simon Beardmore or Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.
$6.049 million — Malibu
A four-story Cape Cod-inspired estate on more than an acre in Malibu sold for $54,000 over the asking price.
Set on a raised lot in the 6200 block of Sea Star Drive, the gated residence was built in 2001 and has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 6,863 square feet of space. Among features is a game room, a media room and a master retreat with his and hers closets, a fireplace and an office. A fourth-floor rotunda takes in panoramic ocean views.
The tiered grounds contain a sun deck, a fireplace and a swimming pool. Elsewhere are a solar power system and a waterfall feature that winds down to a guest house with a kitchen.
Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker was the listing agent.
These are among the top residential real estate sales reported on the combined L.A./Westside Multiple Listing Service for June 28 to July 4.
