Last Friday around 2:00 in the afternoon, officers responded to a theft that just occurred in the 700-block of South Pacific Coast Highway. It was reported a male left the location without paying for some merchandise. As officers responded to the location, a vehicle matching the description provided was observed in the area of El Segundo Boulevard and Nash Street. A traffic stop was initiated, and both the female driver and the male passenger were detained. While officers were checking the vehicle, Dodgers apparel consistent with the items that were taken from the business could be seen in the backseat. The male and female were positively identified and placed under arrest for burglary and conspiracy. The ESPD is committed to responding promptly, regardless of the scale of the incident. Thanks to the information provided to us, officers successfully recovered over $1,500.00 worth of stolen merchandise. We are pleased to report that the merchandise was returned to the business, allowing them to continue their operations without significant disruption.
