Beloved tenor Andrea Bocelli and vaunted soprano Renee Fleming will perform in a benefit concert titled “Remembering Pavarotti” on Sept. 25 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Proceeds from the event, announced on Thursday, will go to pancreatic cancer research at the Salk Institute in La Jolla. Opera great Luciano Pavarotti died from the disease in 2007.
A gala dinner co-hosted by actress Goldie Hawn will follow the concert, which will feature Bocelli and Fleming performing classic arias, duets and songs accompanied by the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra conducted by Eugene Kohn.
