Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s baby daughter is so stinkin’ cute

If your parents are Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, you'd better be a knockout, and the newest member of that family does not disappoint. The little lady's musician dad and model mommy have posted a picture of Miss Luna Simone Stephens that might make you want to eat your Instagram feed, it's so cute.

The kiddo was born April 14 and weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, her parents announced Sunday on social media.

"She's here! Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy," Teigen wrote at the time.

Daddy's real name is John Roger Stephens, if you were wondering, and the pic above was the baby's second official online appearance. The first shot, posted Tuesday, had a lot of "Lip Sync Battle" host in it and significantly less Luna.

On Twitter after the birth announcement, new mom Teigen had riffed on one ramification of motherhood — specifically its possible effect on her online presence. "[T]hank you for all the well wishes!!! we are so happy and excited! i dunno what to tweet now. does my twitter change? this is so awkward."

Never fear, the always-bold swimsuit model came through like a Twitter champ a couple of days later.

"[N]o one told me i would be coming home in diapers too," she wrote Tuesday, following up with a photo of a "push present" to herself: a perineal irrigation bottle. "[H]ave you EVER heard of a grosser name for a product, EVER???"

So, yeah, let's pivot back to the oh-so-adorable baby, shall we? Know that you're still totally sane if you want to squeeze, pinch or bite little Luna. It's science.

"Some things are so cute that we just can't stand it," psychologist Rebecca Dyer of Yale said a few years back at a conference where she and her co-author presented research explaining "cute aggression."

Sounds like permission! Now bring that little belly over here ...
