Always and forever, indeed! Joseph Morgan of “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” is now a married man.
“Happiest day of my life” the actor tweeted Wednesday, providing a link to the People article announcing the nuptials.
The British star, 33, who has played formidable vampire-werewolf Klaus Mikaelson on both CW series, married former costar Persia White in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on July 5, his rep confirmed the to The Times.
Morgan and White, who played newbie vampire Abby Bennett Wilson (a.k.a. Bonnie’s mom), met when they were working on Season 3 of “The Vampire Diaries.” Last year, the network spun off “The Originals” from the original teen drama and has renewed it for a second season.
“We really appreciate those of you who have supported our wild, creative, passionate and unlikely relationship,” the couple told Us Weekly when they announced their engagement in May. “We have found a rare and precious thing; true love. We wish you all the same.”
Now back to the main event: The couple wed in an intimate outdoor ceremony at a private villa near their engagement site. White wore a Vera Wang gown paired with a cathedral-length veil, and Morgan wore an ivory silk tuxedo jacket with black lapels by Miguel Wilson, reported People, which also obtained photos of the affair.
“And then I had a bow tie,” Morgan said. “In fact, the bow tie was the first bow tie I’ve ever tied myself, so I was quite proud of that.”
The wedding “had a very rustic feel to it,” White, 41, told the mag. “There was nothing about it that was overwhelming or very huge or fabulous in that way. We tried to keep everything really intimate and beautiful and sort of going along with nature.”
The couple’s 26 guests, mostly family and close friends, dined on a vegan menu that included a vegan wedding cake and danced to the beats of Jamaican drummers.
The newlyweds then headed west to the town of Negril for their honeymoon.
