Lacey Chabert: ‘Nice girl next door’ covers Maxim at 31
Lacey Chabert is the latest former teen heartthrob to grace the cover of Maxim.
Move over, Danielle Fishel and Mackenzie Rosman.
The “Party of Five” alum poses in a simple lingerie set on the November cover of the men’s magazine, which declares her “sexier than ever.”
“I got the call from Maxim and then immediately put down the cupcake and ran to the gym,” the 31-year-old Mississippi girl said.

And it paid off: The actress is fit and toned as she models gray, pink and white lace bra-and-panty sets inside the magazine.
Chabert has kept a relatively low profile since she was cast at age 12 on the Fox drama costarring Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell, Scott Wolf and Jennifer Love Hewitt. The show was on the air from 1994 to 2000, and Chabert has appeared in only a handful of films since, including 2004’s “Mean Girls” and 2009’s “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.”
“People tweet me all the time, ‘Are you still trying to make fetch happen?’ ” she told the mag about her catch-phrase slinging alter-ego in Tina Fey’s 2004 hit. “I never thought people would still be quoting ‘Mean Girls’ 10 years later.”
The actress has also done voice work in “The Wild Thornberrys,” “The Spectacular Spider-Man” and “Family Guy,” among others. But her main accomplishment appears to be staying out of trouble, unlike her “Mean Girls” costar Lindsay Lohan.

“Look, life is tough, and growing up in this business is especially tough,” she told the mag (via E!). “So I really can’t take any credit other than saying I grew up in a really protective family. Also, I want a long-lasting career, so you’re not gonna find me doing anything scandalous any time soon.”
So Maxim doesn’t count as scandalous then. Obviously, she’s still got plenty of spice to go with all that sugar.
“I’m a nice girl next door,” she added, “but I love a good weekend in Vegas. Blackjack, roulette, four-card poker, slots … all of it.”
As for what she’s looking for in others: “Just be funny and easygoing.”
