Victoria’s Secret model Lindsay Ellingson dishes her wedding details
Angel in white, Victoria’s Secret model Lindsay Ellingson is sharing details of her summer wedding in the upcoming issue of Brides magazine.
The model, who donned the lingerie brand’s 3-D printed wings at the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, wed medical sales rep Sean Clayton on July 12 in Bluffton, S.C. Then she got to be a blushing bride all over again for as the magazine’s October/November cover girl.
Ellingson modeled several matrimonial looks from designers including Vera Wang, Angel Sanchez and Monique Lhullier for the mag’s cover and inside spreads. She also shared snapshots from her own nuptials and a behind-the-scenes video from her dress fitting.
“Sean and I locked eyes as I walked down the aisle,” she told the magazine. “It felt like we were the only ones there.”
The 29-year-old wore a custom-made Sophie Theallet sheath dress with a dramatic back and plunging neckline as she tied the knot in front of 85 guests. Her bridesmaids were pretty in pink Joanna August gowns.
“It’s so special to wear a gown no one else will have,” the model said. “Sophie knows how to make a woman feel beautiful.”
Ellingson, who has modeled for Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and MAC, opted for rose-gold wedding bands for herself and her husband by from NYC jeweler Friman & Stein.
The couple met in 2011 at Jay Z and Kanye West’s “Watch the Throne” album launch party. They dated for 2½ years before Clayton popped the question last year during a Thanksgiving visit with his parents in Ohio.
The new Brides hits newsstands Tuesday.
