Rob Kardashian calls out the haters: ‘I’m aware that I’m fat’

Rob Kardashian didn’t need Twitter to tell him he’s overweight, but he apparently did need all that fat talk to lure him out of his recent hiatus on the social-media platform.

“so i found out i was trending for being fat... thank you all it really made my day,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardshians” regular wrote Tuesday, adding a smiley face at the end.

Kardashian’s weight, which he’s been struggling with for a couple of years, bubbled to the top of the gossip swamp Monday after he was photographed by paparazzi at LAX and again in Paris on his way to big sis Kim Kardashian’s and Kanye West’s wedding, scheduled for Saturday.

The sock salesman’s loose-fitting clothing, presumably worn for comfort on the flight, did little to hide his dramatically increased bulk -- which he continued to address Tuesday, shooting down some new rumors.

“and to the blogs saying i went to fat camp or rehab LOL then why am i still fat u fools??,” the 27-year-old wrote, making what we probably all can agree is a pretty good point. “y’all must have run out of real news.”

“first, i don’t believe in rehab or therapy or anything of that sort and second I’m a grown man and will work on myself when i choose,” Kardashian stated.

“I’m aware that I’m fat that def aint a surprise to me lol and my only therapy will be in the gym anyways had to say somethingggggggggg.”

The notes broke a long Twitter silence. The new material -- which included a few jokey asides as well -- was the only content on his page Tuesday. His Instagram page, where, among other things, he’d previously posted and deleted shots of himself at the gym, remained empty. One big social-media purge had included a cryptic April tweet that said simply, “no one will ever understand how much it hurts.”

Rob isn’t newly sensitive about his weight: He found himself in legal trouble early last year after he clashed with a photographer who tried to snap a shot of him shirtless in the garage of his gym. In her civil lawsuit, the photographer said Kardashian had struggled with her while trying to take her camera to get the memory card out of it. He took the card, she said, telling her, “I’ll pay you when I see you.”

Last May, he was charged with battery and theft in connection with the incident. Those misdemeanor charges were dropped in June after the parties involved reached a settlement.

On episodes of the family’s reality show that aired in February and March, an emotional Rob discussed his weight struggles, telling his family he didn’t want to be filmed with his shirt off, and calling his physical situation a “shock.”

“I’ve never felt so down and depressed in my life. I’m trying to be in the fashion industry and I’m not going to be taken seriously when I’m 50 pounds overweight,” he told sister Khloe Kardashian on the show. “It’s embarrassing to the family.”

Back in the present day, trainer Gunnar Peterson is actually flying to Paris to train Rob and Khloe on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, TMZ reported Monday. Because that’s the way it’s done when you’re rich?
