Where in the world is Robert Pattinson? Perhaps not far from home
Everything and nothing is happening with Robert Pattinson these days. Though now it appears he has at least been located, albeit temporarily, in Ojai.
Courtesy of his “Water for Elephants” costar Reese Witherspoon, RPattz was reportedly weathering some of the my-girlfriend-cheated storm last week at the ritzy Ventura County ranch where Witherspoon and Jim Toth were married last year.
Rob is “a total mess,” a source told Us Weekly in a story published late Tuesday. “He’s questioning everything.” Another source told the magazine that KStew is “dying to save the relationship,” and was sending her “Twilight” costar texts and emails.
A source confirmed Pattinson’s Ojai whereabouts to People, but added that the actor was “gone now” from the ranch.
Pattinson was blindsided by last week’s events, a source close to the actor told the magazine. “There was no sign that either of them was unhappy. He would have done anything for her.”
Previously, when the “Cosmopolis” star was still in the wind, a ton of Pattinson news was being revealed as no Pattinson news at all.
The biggie: Caught in the crossfire of the cheating scandal involving his (possibly ex) girlfriend Kristen Stewart and her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, Rob had allegedly decamped to Britain in an attempt to avoid tabloid warfare.

Not only was the info off base, Rob couldn’t even avoid the tabs by not being in his native country: A Tuesday morning report suggested Pattinson had been partying his blues away Saturday, in tow with friends and taking in live music at 93 Feet East, a nightclub on London’s Brick Lane.
The report also cited a London-based makeup artist who claimed to have seen Rob the following day on Brick Lane, looking “cheery” even.
While Twitter fans bashed the make-up artist for misidentifying the star, Us Weekly debunked the club report.
“I’ve checked with bar staff, security, door staff, promoters and no one saw Rob at the club. No one,” one club source was quoted by the magazine, which last week broke the tale of Stewart and Sanders’ public indiscretion.
TIMELINE: Kristen Stewart cheating scandal
Also Tuesday in the non-news department: “Entertainment Tonight” said Pattinson had canceled a planned promotional appearance for his David Cronenberg-directed film “Cosmopolis” in light of the scandal. His spokesman begged to differ.
“ ‘Cosmopolis’ is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting. No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate,” his rep told the Ministry via email.
And finally, there was the supposed saga of who would get Bear, the rescue dog the couple have shared since winter 2011. (Public humiliation, possible box-office consequences and now the puppy? Yeesh.)
Yet another Tuesday report had said that after Pattinson and Stewart left their shared Los Angeles rental pad, Rob had requested possession of Bear, setting the stage for a potential “custody battle.”
Believe it or don’t believe it -- a rep for Kristen had no comment.
