Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling’s baby name is revealed
Welcome, baby Esme! Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes’ baby name has made its way into the public records.
The Hollywood stars have named their daughter Esmeralda Amada Gosling, according to the child’s birth certificate, which was obtained and posted online by TMZ.
The “Drive” actor, 33, and “Hitch” actress, 40, who have been romantically linked since 2011, welcomed their baby girl on Sept. 12 at Providence St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, according to the document.
The site noted that Amada was Mendes’ character’s name in the 2007 crime thriller “We Own the Night.” It also translates to “dear” or “beloved” in Spanish. No word yet on what inspired the child’s first name.
Reports that “The Place Beyond the Pines” costars had a baby on the way broke early in July and news of Esmeralda’s birth surfaced a few days after she was born, with little to no details being made readily available.
The ultra-private couple also hasn’t publicly piped up about being new parents, nor have their reps commented on the new child.
As for how they’re doing? “They’re both great, but exhausted,” a source told E! News at the time. “They know it’s going to be a little while before the baby adjusts to a schedule.”
The comely trio reportedly have a few helpers on hand too: Both Gosling and Mendes’ moms have been through their home to help with the housework, the site said.
