Sam Smith ‘spending a lot of time’ with model Jay Camilleri, report says

Sam Smith has a new man, and he’s model Jay Camilleri.

The Oscar- and Grammy-winning “Writing’s on the Wall” crooner and the British model have been “hanging out and getting on great,” a source told People.

But don’t go hoping that Smith will be penning any new signature, heart-wrenching love songs just yet: The romance is still in its early stages and not yet formally exclusive, the source added.

E! News echoed that sentiment, noting that Camilleri is a devoted person and likely isn’t dating anyone else.

“They’ve been spending a lot of time together. They are enjoying getting to know each other. They get along really well and are having fun together,” the E! source said.

Smith, 23, and the reality star have yet to confirm the relationship or make their social media debut. The singer told ES magazine last year that he regretted posting pictures of his ex Jonathan Zeizal on Instagram because it made their relationship seem more serious than it was.

“I’ve learned that I need to hold off before I start getting the public involved,” Smith said. The singer first hinted at their split in early 2015.

Camilleri, 25, shouldn’t have too hard of a time adjusting to Smith’s high-profile lifestyle. The model, who also deejays, shot to fame on the British documentary TV series “Dirty Sexy Things,” where he was described as a “bisexual party boy,” according to the Daily Mail.

A rep for Camilleri declined to comment on the rumored relationship, and Smith’s rep did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for confirmation.
