Snooki gets married: Nicole Polizzi weds Jionni LaValle
It's wedding-ring time! "Jersey Shore" alum Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has married her man, Jionni LaValle.
The MTV reality star wed LaValle, the father of her two children, on Saturday in a Great Gatsby-themed affair that kicked off at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in East Hanover, N.J., according to several reports.
Snooki announced the news in a slew of posts on Twitter: "I DO! ... I'm officially MARRIED to Jionni...#nicoleandjionni," she wrote on Saturday, adding "IM MRS.LAVALLE."
The 27-year-old shared her first wedding photo, which showcased her demure Eve of Milady ceremony gown with cap sleeves and a full skirt. It was a conservative choice for the tatted-up redhead, but she brought her signature bling by glitzing up the look with a 1920s-inspired headband under her veil and a jewel-encrusted bouquet. Alas, she did not wear her hair in her infamous Snooki pouf.
The dapper groom gave a nod to Leonardo DiCaprio's Jay Gatsby.
The self-proclaimed meatball-turned-mama changed into an Ines DiSanto trumpet gown that she accessorized with lavish gloves for the reception. She also promptly changed her last name to LaValle on Twitter, edited her bio to read "Proud, WIFE & Fit Mom of 2 gorgeous nuggets" and gladly shared that she and her new husband were spending their first day of wedded bliss "hungover," watching (and live-tweeting) AMC's "The Walking Dead" on Sunday.
She went on to post several photos on her blog, including a sneak peek of her bedazzled pumps by Crystal Shoe Couture, her and LaValle's first kiss as a married couple, a snapshot of their first dance and a shot their matching diamond wedding rings by B&B Jewelry.
"I wanna get married again. Such an amazing experience celebrating the love between @JLaValle and I! Love u husband," she tweeted.
Also among the 500 attendees were her former "Jersey Shore" costars Jenni Farley, Sammi Giancola and Deena Cortese, who served as a bridesmaids in the 32-deep bridal party and wore black gowns and similar glitzy headbands. The wedding also reunited her former hard-partying costars Paul Delvecchio, a.k.a. DJ Pauly D, and Ronnie Magro. Magro's white jacket nearly matched that of Farley's fiance, Roger Mathews.
The accessories designer and LaValle have been engaged since March 2012. Snooki gave birth to their son Lorenzo in August of that year and shared news of her unplanned pregnancy on the sixth and final season of the popular MTV reality hit "Jersey Shore." In September, they welcomed their second child, daughter Giovanna Marie.
The wedding festivities will be broadcast in an upcoming episode of MTV's "Snooki & JWoww."
