Ay, cake! Sofia Vergara shares fitness regimen, reveals weaknesses
Sofia Vergara’s killer body secrets may come as a bit of a surprise given that the “Modern Family” star started seriously working out only when she hit her 40s.
But the teeny-bikini-and-henley-clad cover girl shared a few details of her regimen in the November issue of Shape magazine, and TV’s highest-paid actress revealed that she’s “never been into working out” but started to because of her age.
“I was always very happy with what I have,” the curvy 42-year-old Colombian actress said. “Then I hit 40 and I started seeing a softness everywhere on my body.”
So the “Chef” star, whose swimsuit selfies could make the fittest of fit blush, started doing Pilates-inspired resistance workouts and began other structured fitness routines. (Hey, all those award show mermaid gowns aren’t going to put themselves on!) She also eased herself into the workouts because she said she’s always had bad knees.
Vergara -- who’s previously divulged that she wears a size 32F bra -- said her biggest weakness is sweets.
“I heard about someone in L.A. who got hypnotized so they wouldn’t eat candy. I’m seriously looking into that because I’m obsessed,” she quipped. “When I do indulge, I exercise a bit harder the next day. My workout motto is really simple: No pain, no cake!”
Vergara’s full interview hits newsstands Thursday.
