Celebrity apolo-palooza
Radio host Don Imus screwed up big time when he referred to the Rutgers Women’s Basketball Team as a bunch of “nappy headed hos” last Wednesday. To respond to the public outrage Imus went on Al Sharpton’s radio show to apologize. “Our agenda is to be funny and sometimes we go too far. And this time we went way too far,” Imus said. The apology was not sufficient enough to stop Jesse Jackson and a group of 50 others from picketing the Chicago offices of NBC and shouting “Imus must go!” But was Imus’ apology better or worse than these 10 celebrity retractions?
