Fear Factor: The icky unscripted series returns for a new season with two new episode (8 and 9 p.m. NBC).

Hart of Dixie: Zoe’s (Rachel Bilson) latest effort to become part of the community — and build her practice — has her entering a gumbo competition in this repeat (8 p.m. KTLA).

Terra Nova: As Lucas (Ashley Zuckerman) tries to finish assembling his mystery device, while Jim and Taylor (Jason O’Mara, Stephen Lang) confront the Sixer mole, and the colony prepares for war in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).

Enlightened: Levi (Luke Wilson) loses it in the middle of the night, and Amy (Laura Dern) talks him into seeking treatment in the season finale (9:30 p.m. HBO).

Rock Center With Brian Williams: Ted Koppel discusses the U.S. military’s withdrawal from Iraq and Chelsea Clinton speaks to TOPPS founder Annette Dove (10 p.m. NBC).

I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown! This 2003 animated special Lucy and Linus’ little brother turns to Snoopy and Spike for holiday cheer (8 p.m. ABC).

MOVIES

Dickens: TCM devotes the evening to some of the best adaptations of Charles Dickens works, beginning at 5 p.m. with Alastair Sim in the 1951 adaptation of “A Christmas Carol,” followed at 6:45 by Robert Newton and Alec Guinness in “Oliver Twist.” Then it’s 1949’s “Nicholas Nickleby” at 9 and 1946’s “Great Expectations” at 11.

White Christmas: Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen star in this holiday classic based on the Irving Berlin song (8 and 10:45 p.m. AMC).

SPORTS

Hockey: The New Jersey Devils visit the Tampa Bay Lightning (4 p.m. VS).

Football: The St. Louis Rams visit the Seattle Seahawks (5:30 p.m. ESPN).
