Martin Garrix, Avicii and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are among the big nominees for the 2014 Beatport Awards.
The dance music awards contest, hosted by the DJ-focused download site Beatport, is a mix of fan-voted categories, critical consensus from a panel dance music professionals and sales data from the site’s downloads.
Major fan-voted categories include artist, track, album and label of the year. EDM professionals will vote on DJ of the year, best musical collaboration, best new artist, lifetime achievement and track of the year. Beatport will also unveil sales data for the top album, track, remix and compilation records, and the single that appeared in the most DJ charts.

Garrix’s single “Animals” helped launch the Dutch teenager into contention in track and artist of the year categories, while Avicii and Nicky Romero’s “I Could Be The One” helped land the Swedish pop-crossover producer slots in the same, alongside the Belgian sibling duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
The album of the year category is a little more austere, with critically lauded LPs from Daft Punk and Disclosure among the major nominees. Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak, Skrillex’s Owsla Records and Spinnin Records (home to Garrix) are among the big nominees for label of the year.
Fans balloting is open until Feb. 28. Winners will all be announced on Beatport on March 7.
