Lokos Takos excels with authentic flavors

Lokos Takos Taqueria in Fort Lauderdale offers a variety of quesadillas served on brightly painted tables. The small, new Mexican restaurant (36 seats) that is big on flavors and colors, with bright artwork decorating the walls. The eatery opened in July on East Commercial Boulevard near the Coral Ridge neighborhood and provides a more satisfying experience than bigger, more touristy Mexican places around Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant excels at authentic flavors, such as very good guacamole and queso fundido to start and carnitas (marinated pork) and barbacoa (marinated beef) tacos on soft corn tortillas. It also offers octopus and lobster tacos.
