‘Breaking Bad’ cast and creator stage ‘Conan’ takeover

Walter White’s crystal meth empire spreads from the American Southwest to the Czech Republic. On Monday, the drug lord conquered one last territory: “Conan.”

For fans already dreading Sunday night, when the Emmy-winning AMC drama will head off to the great meth lab in the sky, Conan O’Brien helped alleviate the pain of saying goodbye with an all-”Breaking Bad” episode of his talk show.

Fresh off multiple Emmy victories, series creator Vince Gilligan and the show’s large ensemble yukked it up with O’Brien and his sidekick, Andy Richter. The highlights were numerous: There was Bryan Cranston’s dramatic reading of a deranged fan letter; there was Jonathan Banks reminding everyone that grammar should not be taken lightly; there was a free meth giveaway; and there was even a surprise visit from a memorable guest star not seen since season 2.
