First “Big Brother 15” contestant Aaryn Gries loses a modeling contract, now GinaMarie Zimmerman has reportedly been fired from her job with East Coast USA Pageant, Inc. over her racist comments inside the “Big Brother” house.
East Coast USA tells TMZ, “We have never known this side of GinaMarie or have ever witnessed such acts of racism in the past. We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is. We would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants. In a business where we are surrounded by beauty every day, we are saddened to see something so ugly come from someone we put on a very high pedestal.”
The spokesperson adds that the organization is shocked to hear such hatred coming from GinaMarie, particularly since she is a role model for their younger pageant participants.
So far, the racist, homophobic and misogynistic comments (from men in the house) have been kept off the air by CBS -- the comments have only been seen by live feeds viewers. CBS has said it is because the network does not condone these sentiments and finds the views to be offensive.
There has been speculation that the “Big Brother” producers warned the houseguests about their use of racial slurs, based on a joke made by houseguest Amanda Zuckerman.
