Bryan Cranston has grand plans for his (fake) one-man show

Bryan Cranston’s post-”Breaking Bad” plan worked out pretty well for him. He went to Broadway for an acclaimed run playing LBJ in the play “All the Way” and won a Tony award for his performance as the president.

That show is making its way to TV in the form of an adaptation for HBO. But in the meantime, the actor apparently still has some theater yearnings in him. At least that’s the take-away from this five-minute short film Cranston shot to promote the American League baseball playoffs on TBS.

In the short, Cranston reveals his plans for a one-man show that re-creates the feel of ballpark, with a major dose of inspiration from that all-time baseball great Bugs Bunny.

Yes, the whole thing is a gag. But as promotional videos go, this is one of the better ones. And it’s even got a cameo from Cy Young Award winner Pedro Martinez.

Braves fans can also see Cranston doing his best Ernie Johnson play-by-play impression. (He really does attempt to cover every aspect of the ballpark experience.)

Cranston may just be goofing around for this ad, but if he really wanted to put this thing together it would probably sell out in a day.
